Why have a ‘Personal Tax Account’ with HMRC?

The online Personal Tax Account (PTA) gives you an opportunity to manage and view your tax affairs and offers a number of services such as:

  • Access and print your SA302s, often required by mortgage lenders. HMRC are no longer issuing paper copies of these, and we are therefore unable to obtain a copy for you as your agent.
  • Check your PAYE code numbers including updating benefits you get from work (e.g. company car details and medical insurance)
  • Manage your tax credits.
  • Review your State Pension entitlement.
  • Confirm details of any Fixed Protection elections registered with HMRC.
  • Update your address.

If you have already signed up for a PTA please be aware that DBS, as your Agent, is not permitted to access this account. In addition, the functions available and information available to you via your PTA are not replicated in our Agent account.
